When you select a boat route type, mult.dev will:

- Automatically detect if your starting point is on land.
- Snap the route to the nearest navigable waterway (river or sea).
- Do the same for your destination — even if it’s inland.
- Then generate a beautiful, animated journey that follows the actual water route.

Under the hood, we now use NavAPI, a global maritime routing engine, to build realistic river and ocean paths.

Mult.dev Studio provides a wide range of customization options for your animated travel videos.

To access the settings, click the **gear icon** in the top-right corner of the editor.

Below is a detailed explanation of each available parameter.

## Main Styles

Select from four predefined visual styles, including "Eco" color themes or a more natural "Earth" landscape look.

## Colors

You can fine-tune several color aspects of the video:

- **Background** – Sets the outer space around the globe. A darker background typically works best.

- **Line and Points** – Controls the color of the route and waypoints.

- **Highlight Countries** – Toggles whether visited countries are outlined and shaded.

- **Label** – Defines the color of popup text that appears on the globe.

## Speed

Controls how quickly the animation moves between waypoints.

## Units

Choose to display travel distance in **kilometers** or **miles**. Select `-` to hide distance display entirely.

## Starting Zoom-In

When enabled, the video starts with a zoom-in effect from a wider view onto the starting point.

## Ending Zoom-Out

When enabled, the video ends with a zoom-out from the final location.

## Place labels
This setting allows you to configure which place labels are being shown.

**Current** - shows only the current visited place. All other labels are hidden.

**Visited** - shows labels of placed visited so far.

**Always** - All the places in the route have labels at the very start of the video.

Note that sometime labels can be hidden if **Optimize overlapping labels** is enabled.

## Optimize overlapping labels
On routes with places near each other labels can overlap when **Place labels** is set to **Always** or **Visited**.
This setting hides some of the labels so that the end result is less messy. If you what to always show all the labels - turn it off.

## Show Logo

Free users will see the **Mult.dev** watermark embedded into the video. Pro users can choose to remove it entirely.

## Try to Show Full Route at End

If enabled, the final camera position will attempt to zoom out and show the entire route at once.

## Country Names and Flags

Displays country names and flags along the route, adding geographical context to the animation.

## Title

Sets the name under which this video will appear in your personal video library.

## 🚙 Transport Modes (Visual Style)

Each route segment can be paired with a transport icon that moves along the path. The icon changes the style and adds personality to your journey.

**Available icons include:**

- Motorcycle 🏍

These can be assigned to any route segment — you’re not locked into one mode per video.

You can choose how the line behaves and whether an icon appears:

All countries and regions are supported. When you add a location, its flag is shown on the route. You can toggle flags on/off or replace them with emojis for custom styles.

Flags are automatically detected from location data.
